'Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon' Season 3: Daryl and Carol's New Journey
The dynamic duo of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are set to continue their European adventure in the upcoming Season 3 of 'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon'. A recently released teaser trailer hints at a fall premiere and reveals a surprising new destination for the pair.
After navigating the dangers of France in Season 2 and concluding "The Book of Carol" storyline, Daryl and Carol's post-apocalyptic journey takes an unexpected detour. Instead of their intended destination of England, they somehow find themselves in Spain.
Unexpected Detour: Spain Bound
The teaser provides a quick glimpse of what awaits Daryl and Carol, showcasing potential new allies and enemies. The trailer opens with a weary Daryl trekking across a desert landscape, clearly located in Spain. His voiceover reflects a grim outlook: "I was pretty young when all this started. Now, what we do is run and fight. There's no way to win it."
The somber tone shifts to a burst of action, depicting Daryl engaged in a motorcycle joust. Armed with shotguns, Daryl and his opponent charge towards each other. A shot rings out, but it remains unclear who is hit.
In the Season 2 finale, Daryl and Carol were headed for the Channel Tunnel, with the goal of reaching England and eventually crossing the Atlantic to return to America. The teaser confirms that they briefly made it to England, showing them in a boat near Tower Bridge alongside a new character played by Stephen Merchant. However, their journey takes an unexpected turn, leading them to Spain.
How Did They End Up In Spain?
The question of how Daryl and Carol ended up in Spain will be answered when the season premieres. According to executive producer David Zabel, a natural disaster is responsible for the change in the Chunnel's route. "There's a big earthquake and the Chunnel now goes to Spain," Zabel explained. "It's a circuitous route. It's not a direct path, but that's part of what's great about the opening of season 3, is seeing that journey that gets them there. And it doesn't go straight to Spain. It’s a very cool adventure that somehow gets them from inside the tunnel to Spain.”
Alongside Stephen Merchant, the new season will also feature Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay in series regular roles. Additional cast members include Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, and Cuco Usín.
'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon' Season 3 is scheduled to premiere this fall, promising a thrilling new chapter in Daryl and Carol's ongoing saga.
