The Boys Unveils Prequel Series 'Vought Rising' with Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash

Exciting news for fans of "The Boys"! Amazon Prime Video has announced a prequel series called "Vought Rising" at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. This new adventure will take place in "The Boys" universe and tell the story of events that happened before the main series.

The big news is that Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will return to their roles. Ackles will play Soldier Boy again, while Cash will portray Clara Vought, who later becomes Stormfront.

"Vought Rising" will take us to New York in the 1950s. We'll see how the Vought company got started. We'll also follow Soldier Boy's first adventures and Clara Vought's evil plans.

Paul Grellong, who already works on "The Boys," will be the creator and showrunner of "Vought Rising." Eric Kripke, the creator of "The Boys," is also part of the main creative team.

Grellong and Kripke say the new series will be "the next crazy series from The Boys universe." They advise viewers to get ready for "an episode full of blood, Compound V, desire, and horror."

Jensen Ackles won't just be acting in "Vought Rising," he'll also be a producer. At Comic-Con, he revealed that the scripts are being written. Aya Cash, who joined by video, said she had read the scripts and that the series would talk about "everything from Judy Garland to Paul McCartney."

"Vought Rising" will likely be the first major spin-off series from "The Boys." There's already been an animated series called "The Boys Presents: Diabolical" and another spin-off about college called "Gen V." Another series, "The Boys: Mexico," is also in the works.

Fans will need to be patient because "Vought Rising" isn't expected to arrive until 2027. In the meantime, season 4 of "The Boys" has just finished. Season 5, which will be the last, should come out in 2026. We'll see Soldier Boy regularly in that season.

During Comic-Con, fans also got to see a trailer for season 2 of "Gen V." This trailer confirmed that Chace Crawford will reprise his role as The Deep in "Gen V."

Even though "The Boys" will soon end, fans still have a lot to look forward to. With "Vought Rising" and other spin-offs, "The Boys" universe will keep growing and surprising us for a long time to come.
