"The Boys" Gets Official Approval for 5th Season Even Before the Release of the 4th Season
Prime Video has given the green light for the 5th season of "The Boys". The streaming platform has decided to continue the popular superhero series.
While fans are still eagerly awaiting the next episodes of the 4th season, Prime Video has already begun preparations for the next season.
"The Boys", one of Prime Video's most acclaimed productions, continues to expand its narrative universe.
Adapted from the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series has already expanded its universe with spin-offs like "Gen V" and "Diabolical". The announcement of a new adventure set in Mexico suggests that the platform is actively working on this brand.
Filming for the 4th season of "The Boys" was completed in April 2023, after originally being planned for a duration of 5 seasons. Although the creators of the series had hinted at the possibility of a 5th season in the past, it is now official with Prime Video's confirmation.
"The Boys" creator Eric Kripke shared his emotions about the new season with these words: "The Boys could be the best work I've ever done. What other series would allow me to write about politics, capitalism, family, and exploding genitals?"
The 4th season, which will see Homelander, played by Antony Starr, take control, aims to once again take viewers on a violent journey, with Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, executing his revenge plan.
In addition to Starr and Urban, the cast of the upcoming season will include Jack Quaid, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, KAren Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.
The premiere of "The Boys" 4th season is scheduled for June 13, 2024. The first 3 episodes of the new season will be available on the first day, while the remaining episodes will be released weekly.
