'Stranger Things' Creator Shares Varied News About Upcoming Season
The fifth season of Netflix's popular horror/thriller/mystery series "Stranger Things" had been uncertain due to the pandemic and the Hollywood strike. Finally, some news has arrived, but it's not entirely what we were hoping for.
The most recent season showcased the showdown between the Hawkins gang and Vecna. Viewers are eager to see how the characters' stories will conclude in the fifth season.
While we still don't know how the story will end, we have a small update for fans waiting eagerly. Ross Duffer, one of the co-creators of the series, shared an exciting post on his Instagram account.
According to the latest information, the series has received the green light from Netflix for a fifth season, and filming has already begun. Half of the fifth season has already been shot.
You might hope that the series will be completed this year and released in 2025, but that’s not the case. According to Netflix’s plans, the series will not air until 2026 at the earliest. When the filming schedule is completed, shooting for the fifth season of "Stranger Things" will have taken 48 weeks (or 11 months).
With visual effects, music, dialogue matching, possible additions and/or re-shoots, and the editing of the eight episodes, the lengthy post-production phase will take about another year. It seems Netflix will really be testing our patience...
