Secret Level's Warhammer 40K Episode Confirmed as Space Marine 2 Sequel
Exciting news has emerged about the upcoming Warhammer 40K episode in Amazon's Secret Level anthology series. In a joint announcement from Amazon and Games Workshop, the episode has been confirmed to serve as a direct continuation of the Space Marine 2 storyline.
What is Secret Level?
Secret Level is a groundbreaking animation anthology series comprising 15 independent episodes, each based on a different video game property. Created by the talented minds behind Netflix's Love, Death & Robots, the series is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 10th.
A Legacy of Excellence in Animation
Games Workshop highlighted an important connection to Warhammer animation history in their recent community post. They referenced the iconic opening sequence from Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, crafted by Dave Wilson, who serves as executive producer and supervising director. This beloved cinematic, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, remains one of the most highly regarded pieces of Warhammer 40K animation among fans.
The Space Marine 2 Connection
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the upcoming Warhammer 40K episode is its direct tie to Saber Interactive's Space Marine 2. Games Workshop has confirmed that actor Clive Standen will reprise his role as Ultramarines Lieutenant Titus, maintaining continuity between the game and the animation.
"Players of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have already witnessed Lieutenant Titus's iconic presence in the first gameplay trailer released in August," Games Workshop stated. "Today, we're pleased to reconfirm that Clive Standen will once again step into the role of Titus for this new animated chapter."

Continuing the Story
The animation is confirmed to be a direct sequel to Space Marine 2's narrative. Games Workshop teased, "Notice that ornate laurel on his helmet? If you've completed the game, you already know its significance! This animation picks up right where the game leaves off, like a hidden chapter."
The game concludes with Titus being vindicated and joining forces with Ultramarines Chapter Master Marneus Calgar to defeat the forces of Chaos. Before sending Titus on a mysterious mission, Calgar presents him with a new helmet adorned with the Imperial Laurel. The Secret Level episode appears to pick up from this crucial moment.
Release Schedule
Secret Level launches on Prime Video on December 10th, with the Warhammer 40K episode included in the first batch of eight episodes. The remaining episodes will follow on December 17th. The series features episodes based on various properties, from Sony's Concord to Epic's Unreal Engine.
As for the future of the Space Marine story in game form, while the developer remains cautious about story-focused DLC, a Space Marine 3 seems increasingly likely.
