New Mandalorian & Grogu Adventure Coming to Smuggler's Run

A thrilling update is heading to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, featuring everyone's favorite duo, The Mandalorian and Grogu! Revealed at Star Wars Celebration, this new adventure promises exciting roles for engineers and a journey across the galaxy. Alongside Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor, travelers will now be able to visit Coruscant within this interactive storyline.

This update, scheduled to launch on May 22, 2026, will chart its own course, separate from "The Mandalorian & Grogu" movie, while still featuring Din Djarin and Grogu in captivating ways. The story kicks off when Hondo Ohnaka uncovers a clandestine deal brewing on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and pirates. Guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure to track down these individuals and claim a bounty. This promises to be a high-stakes chase that will keep riders on the edge of their seats.

A Special Role for Engineers One of the most exciting aspects of this update is the enhanced role for engineers. This time around, they'll be entrusted with Grogu's care, which is sure to add a layer of fun and unpredictability to the mission. Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama shared some insights into what to expect. "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu," Kalama explained.

Communicating with Grogu Imagine the possibilities! "There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu." This opens up opportunities for hilarious and heartwarming interactions.

Choose Your Own Adventure Adding to the excitement, the update will also feature a "choose-your-own-adventure" element. As Kalama described, "sort of a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning quick decision about which of our particular bounties we want to pursue. And that's going to be the sort of inciting incident that allows us to decide which are the different destinations we go to." Prepare for quick decisions and branching storylines that will make each ride unique!
