First Look at "The Hedge Knight," the Next "Game of Thrones" Series

The series "The Hedge Knight" has entered the production phase. George R.R. Martin's works continue their journey on television, with the first image from the adaptation of his "Tales of Dunk and Egg" series now released.

When HBO's "Game of Thrones" ended in 2019, the network ordered several spin-off projects to continue its legacy. Now, with the second season of "House of the Dragon" in progress, the Westeros universe has chosen its next series.

Currently titled "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight," the series is adapted from the first book of George R.R. Martin's "Tales of Dunk and Egg." It will take viewers 90 years before the events of "Game of Thrones," following the adventures of the knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and his squire Egg (Aegon Targaryen). Peter Claffey stars as Dunk, and Dexter Sol Ansell plays Egg.

HBO has shared the first set image of Ser Duncan the Tall, offering a glimpse of the progress made so far. Along with this first look, it was announced that filming has officially begun in Belfast. "The Hedge Knight" series is expected to premiere in 2025.
