First Look and Release Date for Gladiator 2 Revealed

The first images from the highly anticipated sequel to Gladiator, 24 years after the original film, have been released. Gladiator 2, directed by Ridley Scott as in the first film, will hit theaters on November 15, 2024. The cast includes Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, and Denzel Washington.

Filming for Gladiator 2 was completed last year, and the movie will tell the story of Lucius, the young son of Lucilla, played by Connie Nielsen, who reprises her role from the original film. Paul Mescal, one of the most sought-after actors of recent times, will portray Lucius.

Pedro Pascal will play Marcus Acacius, a Roman general trained by Maximus. Other notable actors in the film include Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Rory McCann, and Derek Jacobi. Although Ridley Scott returns as director, Russell Crowe, the star of the original movie, will not be in the sequel. Gladiator 2 is eagerly awaited and will be in theaters from November 15, 2024.
