Filming for Season 3 of Amazon’s “The Wheel of Time” Wraps Up
Production for Season 3 of "The Wheel of Time" has wrapped up. Based on Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy series, the countdown for the new season of this popular show has begun.
"The Wheel of Time," created by one of America's leading fantasy authors, Robert Jordan, premiered on Prime Video in 2021.
The first season received harsh criticism from fans, but the second season, released in 2023, garnered more positive reviews. This grand fantasy saga, in which Prime Video has invested heavily, quickly received approval for a third season.
Rafe Judkins, known for his work on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Uncharted," is the showrunner. The cast includes Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Madeleine Madden, Zoe Robins, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, and Barney Harris. There has been no official announcement about a potential fourth season of "The Wheel of Time," but fans have many reasons to be optimistic. Prime Video demonstrated its confidence by greenlighting the third season even before the second season aired.
Additionally, the "Wheel of Time" universe on TV is set to expand. Following the 2021 animated spin-off "The Wheel of Time: Origins," a live-action film trilogy was announced in December 2023. The first film, "The Age of Legends," will be set years before the events of the series, telling the story of the rise of the Dark One and those brave enough to stand against him. Alongside these live-action films, another animated production titled "The White Tower" is also in the works. With 14 books in total, "The Wheel of Time" provides a vast amount of material for Amazon. However, no release date has been set for Season 3 of "The Wheel of Time."
