"The Scurry" is produced and distributed by True Brit Entertainment. Alongside Purnell, the cast includes Rhys Ifans, Antonia Thomas, and Paapa Essiedu. Essiedu is known for his role in the series I May Destroy You and for the horror film Men by Alex Garland. Ifans is famous for his role as Otto Hightower in House of the Dragon and for his appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, The King’s Man, and Mr. Nobody.

Craig Roberts, who has already directed three feature films, is also known as an actor. He is famous for his role in Submarine by Richard Ayoade and for his appearances in The Fundamentals of Caring and Neighbors.

"The Scurry" is reminiscent in style to Cocaine Bear, released last year. The film tells the story of a survival battle against killer squirrels.
