EVO 2024 Highlights: Major Game Trailers and Announcements Unveiled
There are global tournaments for almost every type of game, and fighting games are no exception. Fighting game masters from around the world gathered for Evo 2024, a three-day event. Over 10,000 players came together to compete in games like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Mortal Kombat 1.
Of course, a tournament held in a place like Las Vegas, the heart of entertainment, also hosted many important announcements. Many developers and publishers like SNK, Warner Bros, and Arc System Works used this event to introduce new games, characters, or release dates.
Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice Coming to Multiversus
Multiversus' second season begins on July 23 and will introduce new characters. The first to be added will be Samurai Jack, followed later by Beetlejuice.
Mature and Vice Joining The King of Fighters 15
The beloved characters from The King of Fighters series, Vice and Mature, will be added to The King of Fighters 15 in December. These characters, maintaining their classic looks, will be available individually. Mature first appeared in 1994, and Vice in 1995.
SNK vs CAPCOM: SVC CHAOS Coming to Modern Systems
The 2003 fighting game from SNK and Capcom, featuring characters from games like Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, Darkstalkers, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, and Mega Man, is coming to Steam on July 22. It will also be released soon for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and GOG.
HunterXHunter: NENxImpact
The new 3-on-3 HunterXHunter fighting game, developed by Eighitng, known for Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom, will be released this year for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC. The latest character revealed is Meurem, completing the initial roster which includes Feitan, Chrollo, Uvogin, Machi, Bisky, Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, Hisoka, and Netero.
