Diego Luna has shared his thoughts on the conclusion of "Andor," the critically acclaimed Star Wars series on Disney+. The show, which has drawn comparisons to "The Mandalorian" Season 1 for its quality, explores the backstory of Cassian Andor before the events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Fans eagerly awaiting the second season got a special treat at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan.
At the event, attendees were shown the entire first episode of Season 2 after hearing from the cast. Following the screening, Diego Luna, who portrays Cassian Andor, and other cast members spoke about the final season and the experience of saying goodbye to the project.
Reflecting on Andor's Journey When asked about his satisfaction with the completed story of "Andor," Luna expressed his enthusiasm. "I'm very happy with the result. I'm very excited to it with the audience. It's been two years and a lot of work, you know?" he shared.
Saying Goodbye Luna also spoke about the emotional weight of concluding not only the series but also his portrayal of Andor himself. “My heart is in this show. So yes, it is sad, but it's also the right moment to say goodbye. This is the way things should end,” Luna explained. He continued, “I am really proud of what we made, and every day with this team has been special for me. So it's good to finish this way. It's good to finish when you're really excited about what you're doing.”
Looking ahead, Luna hopes the audience will appreciate the second season and how it enriches "Rogue One." He added, “I hope audiences really love the second season.
