'Andor' Season 2 Soundtrack: A Unique Release Strategy Revealed

The first three episodes of *Andor* are set to stream tonight on Disney+, and fans will be excited to learn about the show's unique soundtrack release plan. Lucasfilm has unveiled a strategy that aligns the soundtrack releases with the show's episodic pods.

This means that following the debut of the soundtrack for the initial three episodes of *Andor* Season 2, the music for Episodes 4-6 will drop next Tuesday, April 29th. Listeners can then anticipate the release of Episodes 7-9 on May 6th, leading up to the soundtrack for the final three episodes of Season 2 on May 13th.

Behind the Music While Nicholas Britell (known for *Succession*) composed the score for *Andor* Season 1, Brandon Roberts (*Free Solo*, *Land of Bad*) is taking the reins for the music in Season 2, which has been confirmed as the series' final installment.

A Defined Ending At Star Wars Celebration, Diego Luna, who stars in *Andor*, discussed what distinguishes the series from other shows. *Andor* acts as a prequel to *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story*, the 2016 film centered on the Rebellion's mission to steal the Death Star plans. *Andor* was conceived as a two-season story culminating in the events of the film. Luna explained that having a clear and defined endpoint allowed the team to craft a well-executed narrative, rather than simply producing seasons with the hope of renewal. Showrunner Tony Gilroy has even suggested the possibility of screening the *Andor* Season 2 finale in theaters, alongside *Rogue One*.
